Lindsay Mullan is an actress and improvisor currently living in Toronto, Canada (however, she remains an Alberta girl at heart having grown up in both Edmonton and Calgary). Lindsay fell in love with the world of performing early in life and began acting at age 11. While completing the Performing Visual Arts Program at Central Memorial High School, Lindsay developed a passion for improvised theatre at the Loose Moose Theatre Company. It was here that she trained in improvisation under Artistic Director Dennis Cahill and many other seasoned improv instructors and performers. Lindsay honed her skills while learning the ins and outs of Keith Johnstone improv theory. Over the course of 5 years she performed and taught with the company on a weekly basis. During this time, Lindsay also earned her Theatre Arts Diploma in Acting from Mount Royal University.
Lindsay began collaborating and creating new works straight out of school. She took on directing, hosting, and even clowning. This eventually led her to the Canadian Fringe Festival circuit where she has become a regular fixture each year. Her most notable Fringe show to date is the critically-acclaimed fringe hit, Truth or Dare (co-starring fellow creator Jamie Northan). In early 2011, Lindsay began interviewing people from the comfort of her own bed on her web talk show, Between The Sheets With Lindsay. This experience ignited Lindsay's desire to act in front of the camera.
After performing in multiple theatrical productions with Alberta Theatre Projects, Backyard Spaceship, and The Shakespeare Company, Lindsay decided to seek new artistic challenges. In October of 2011 she moved from Calgary to Toronto and began working in film and television. In Toronto, Lindsay has shot many commercials, a few short films, and a couple sketch comedy pilots for both DisneyXD and YTV. Lindsay remained busy in theatre by performing in Major Matt Mason Collective's production of Control and touring/performing in Rebecca Northan's hit improvised clown show Blind Date.
In 2014 Lindsay began her journey with Second City Toronto. She started out as a cast member of the National Touring Company and after 2 years went on to the Mainstage where she helped create and perform the 78th & 79th Mainstage revues (Come What Mayhem! & Everything Is Great Again). Lindsay continues to work on her improvisation as a member of 2 improv duos: The Disctinctly Average Duo (alongside Jamie Northan) and The Cheeky Chappies (alongside Gavin Williams). You can also find Lindsay at the Bad Dog Theatre Company working as both an improv instructor and performer.
